Peel & Stick Window Shades!

I was talking to my friend Jeni Fujita today, about the new blog, and she told me about these kick-ace window shades that can be found at your local Home Depot! She used them as a temporary solution when she first moved into her place, sort of like a place holder, while she decided what kind of window treatment she wanted. They're cheap, available in black and white, and for God's sake, they're peel and stick! Anyone can use these, and I think they're pretty sweet looking for about $5. If you're interested in buying them online, click here. Also, available in black, here. I just thought I'd share!

Hey Margie,

Thought I would stop by and say hi and congrats on your new blog...I like what I see so far. Just think when your blog gets super popular, you'll just have to turn it into a website...um I guess it kind of is already, but i'm sure you know what I mean:)

Thanks for the lead on these shades! I spent several miserable early mornings cursing the sun waiting to install curtains - never again!

hi margaret-
briana winter here again...
wanted to let you know that i went to home depot to check out the paper blinds and came across your basic white (or beige) vinyl venetian blinds for the same price as the paper-$5 bucks!
and HD cuts blinds to fit your windows for free---but you have to upgrade to the next price bracket of blinds (also vinyl venetian). so i was able to get three sets of blinds for my living room and kitchen for $5 and then for my bedroom...it has a rather large window (43x61), and that blind cost $24 and they cut it to fit. FYI.

ps- i realized in reading my last comment that i might need to add brandon's last name, Wilde. you and i briefly met at united stations as well. i came in for a few jingles (i think at the time you were throwing your bro a surprise party????)anyways...

I remember you totally. I knew your name sounded familiar. You have a great memory (about my bro's party)! Thanks for the sharing about the blinds! I love it :)

Hi Margaret,

I don't know you but your blog came up when I was googling window black out blinds. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about the peel-and-stick blinds? I need some for our church.

Do they stick only at the top or all the way around?

If you want to only have light black out at certain times, but not at others, do you have to completely remove them in order to let the sun shine in or can they be raised and lowered at will?

If you can raise them, how do they stay up?

Thank you so much!

Terri :)
